It's a good song.
I do enjoy it, and I want to take a quick study of your works now. But for now, it's going to sit on my favorites list, and I will get back to you soon. Expect to hear from me in the near future.

STRONG!
But that's all it is. Heck, it's even got a default instrument riff in there (points against) that only speaks strength.
For a song that has 'Layers' in the title, there aren't very many layers to the song, or even the melody itself. two or three noticeable ones, at most.
I like
It's a simple tonal pattern through most of it. But it's catchy, which is what I assume you were going for.
Your drums tend to be a little harsh, overall. I've noticed this in other songs as well, they need a little reverb and some softening. That, and to switch up the pattern they play sometimes. this three tap Snare-Snare-Kick gets old quickly, and could do with some freshening.
I like it.
It's a nice, tight, mood building ambient tune, and I would love to see someone use it. However, as with so many people before you, my gripe comes from the fact that there is one demo riff that I could identify within it.
But, it is all melded together in an excellent way, and I am about ready to hit 'download' and check out some of your other works. Good Job.
Decent. But slightly flat.
I like it, it's got a good beat and melody, but all in all, it needs a little percussion, and some more to bind the melody, as it stands, it's very much a tonal pattern more than it is a song.
You have skill. I do not deny that, but explore your program further.
I'm not much one for raps.
But this is well constructed. I'm a have to listen to it closely and figure out the lyrics. I enjoy how the two voices play well together. The instruments meld well, and work perfectly as the backing for the rap itself. And the drop halfway through was masterfully worked. Bravo.
The first voice makes me think "Grover's drunken cousin Earl."
Allow me to set the mood for further reviews.
This is a wonderous melody, albeit a tad empty. There is no decay on any of the instruments, and such would become a 'glue'.
This is also far too short to be able to stand on its own for too long. If you ever re-visit it, and it does have the potential for greatness, please, please, let me know. I love how it stads thus far, and would love to see an expansion.
Thanks for being the first one to comment on this track. I know it's nothing special and short, it's actually part of some demo stuff I've been working on.
I agree with your criticism. Thx!
Delicious indeed.
It truly is a song that has means to be an audio meal. I enjoyed every moment, especially how the song almost "disjoints" a couple of times, where the riffs come together in ways that do not line up, but still give this "meaty" wholeness.
This is a song I will make copy of, and forever hold in my audio library.
Bon appétit! :D
simple beauty.
I like it. The beat rocks me to my core, and the melody is wonderful. I tell ya, when I finally get myself animating, this will be one of the tunes I throw at anything when I can fit it in.
The sheer simplicity of the tones just emphasizes the melody and beat, since there is no way to detract from it by adding new effects to the instruments. Forget the score (2.27 at the time of the review). The general populace demands too much from the art they want to know what they give up. Make no mistake, this is beauty with no fault.
thanks. feel free to use it in any flash movies. I'd love to see my work used in such a way.
